The hotel acquired its name from the nearby River Cree and is situated in three acres of idyllic gardens & woodland at the foot of the Kirroughtree Forest.

This traditional Scottish country house hotel preserves the peace and tranquillity of rural life in elegant surroundings. Yet, it is a mere two minutes' walk from the market town of Newton Stewart, and approximately half an hour's drive from the busy port town of Stranraer.
